Hello everyone! We are exactly 1 week past the official release of Restart Again: Volume 5, and I wanted to stop in and give everybody a quick update on what’s been going on behind the scenes. As per tradition, I’ll be working up a hefty reflection post sometime later this month, but there’s a few bits of news that seemed important enough to convey to you now.
Firstly, thank you to everybody who’s downloaded an eBook, purchased a paperback, or read through on Kindle Unlimited! I’m always blown away by the support this series gets, and this release was no exception. It feels like its been WAY longer than a week since the book dropped (I really couldn’t believe it when I pulled up my calendar to write this post), so I suppose I could understand if you haven’t had a chance to start/finish it yet. It’s a pretty hefty book, after all!
I’m painfully aware of how limited free time can be, and fortunately, I come bearing some good news to alleviate a bit of that stress! As of today, the audiobook adaptation of Restart Again: Volume 5 has been confirmed! I will once again be working with Tantor to produce the project, and Alex Knox will be narrating as he has for the entire series thus far. There is no official release date as of yet, but if history stands, it will most likely be near the end of this year.
And the good news keeps coming! Volume 5 isn’t the only book getting contracted for an audiobook; though writing for the project is only in its infancy, Restart Again: Volume 6 has also been approved for an audiobook adaptation! We’re definitely years out on that release, but I’m very happy to have that confirmation well ahead of time. I hope you’ll look forward to it!
Before I leave you, I have one more announcement. This won’t be a new revelation to anybody who’s finished Volume 5, but for those who haven’t: I’ve opened a Patreon! I’ve dragged my heels on setting up a page for years now, but it seemed like a prudent time to finally bite the bullet and create it. I’ve done my best to stress this in all possible places, so let me reiterate here: Donations to my Patreon are entirely optional (obviously), and writing will continue on the Restart Again series whether I have 1 or 1,000 backers there. Any support I receive there will go straight back into the project, in the form of additional artwork, music, and beyond! I don’t have any regularly scheduled posts planned at the moment, but you can already find some unreleased art there, as well as the first draft chapter for my current endeavor.
